About Us
We’re a RCVS-accredited, two-site small animal practice based in Bury and Bolton, with a 24-hour A&E hospital in Bury. Our caseload is diverse, fast-paced, and always rewarding.

Our hospital is fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities — everything you need to deliver gold-standard emergency and inpatient care.

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for emergency and inpatient care. Experience of critical care would be advantageous.
Key details:
-
One week of nights on, one week off – giving you a great work / life balance
-
7 days on duty, Monday to Sunday, 8.5 hours per shift 1-10pm (average 29.75 hours per week)

Occasional overtime available
You’ll be part of a close-knit team that supports each other, handles a wide range of emergencies, and delivers outstanding patient care around the clock.
** Competitive salary - up to £25,989.60 (£34,944 FTE) depending on experience **
We’re looking for someone who:

Provides a high level of care to hospitalised patients, always ensuring patient comfort and welfare.

Demonstrates good knowledge of medical conditions

Effectively manages time and prioritises workload when caring for multiple hospitalised patients.

Assists with and performs triage for emergency appointments.

Is proactive and forward-thinking, preparing in advance for potential emergency cases.

Has strong communication and organisational skills
-
Is able to work under pressure with multiple emergencies
