We are seeking an experienced Pelletising Plant Operator to run a fertiliser production line producing cylindrical fertiliser pellets. The role involves operating a blending system, managing a pellet mill (die-based system), and overseeing product quality through to bagging and dispatch.
This is a hands-on production role requiring strong experience in running pelletising or granulation equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor a fertiliser pelletising production line
- Run and adjust blending/mixing systems to ensure consistent feedstock
- Operate a die-based pellet mill (ring die or flat die system)
- Control pellet quality including size, density, and durability
- Adjust process settings such as feed rate, moisture levels, and compression
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Troubleshoot operational issues and minimise downtime
- Ensure finished product is correctly bagged, labelled, and stored
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Record production data and report issues to management
Requirements
- Proven experience operating a pelletising, granulation, or extrusion production line
- Strong understanding of production machinery and process control
- Ability to adjust machine settings to maintain product quality
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
- Mechanical awareness (ability to identify and resolve basic faults)
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently
Desirable:
- Experience in fertiliser, agriculture, biomass, or feed production
- Forklift licence (FLT)
- Basic maintenance/mechanical skills
