We are looking to recruit a Direct Payment Monitoring Officer to join our busy Revenue and Payments Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, professional environment and wants to play a key role in supporting effective service delivery for adults who require social care.
The role focuses on auditing accounts for people who are in receipt of a Personal Budget via a Direct Payment.
What you will be doing:

Providing an efficient and effective audit function
- Providing information, advice and guidance to assist people with the financial management of their Direct Payment,
- Maintaining comprehensive records and documentation,
- Ensuring all tasks are completed and timescales adhered to,
- Progress any issues relating to the management of the budget and report to Adult Social Care
- Recover any unspent monies following the audit and/or close-down process.
- Support the Direct Payment Team
What we’re looking for:

Experience of working in a financial or audit environment would be beneficial
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting financial information.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Proficient in the use a range of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
