Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Groundworker/Labourer to join our small but growing team. This role will primarily focus on groundwork and drainage projects, with opportunities to assist in landscaping and demolition works when required.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on construction sites, particularly within groundwork, drainage, excavation, or general civils. Experience in landscaping is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for someone hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn and develop new skills within a fast-growing company.
This is a hands-on role involving site preparation, drainage installation, excavation support, and general groundwork duties, with opportunities to gain experience across landscaping and demolition projects. CSCS certification and machinery tickets are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with groundwork and drainage installations including pipe laying, trenches, manholes, and ducting
- Supporting excavation works using excavators and other plant machinery
- Carrying out site preparation, digging, backfilling, and reinstatement works
- Operating hand tools, power tools, compactors, and small plant equipment safely
- Assisting with foundations, concreting, kerbing, edging, and other general groundwork tasks
- Supporting demolition and site clearance works when required
- Assisting with landscaping projects including paving, fencing, turfing, and external works
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials around site
- Ensuring work areas remain clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Following all site health and safety procedures
- Working alongside team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundwork, drainage, or construction is preferred
- Landscaping or demolition experience is beneficial but not essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- CSCS card preferred
- Machinery tickets such as dumper, roller, or excavator are desirable
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Understanding of site health and safety practices

Pay: £100.00-£220.00 per day
Work Location: In person
