Field Seymour Parkes is seeking an ambitious and motivated Paralegal to join its highly regarded Family team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring legal professional to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of family law matters while working alongside experienced solicitors and partners in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Whether you are a law graduate looking to begin your legal career or an experienced paralegal seeking your next challenge, this role offers exposure to high-quality work and a clear pathway for professional development.

The Opportunity

As a Family Paralegal, you will play an integral role in supporting the team on a wide variety of matters, including:

Divorce and separation
Financial remedy proceedings
Private children matters
Cohabitation disputes
Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
Domestic abuse cases
General family law advisory work

Working closely with fee earners at all levels, your responsibilities will include:

Managing client correspondence and maintaining files
Drafting legal documents, court forms and witness statements
Preparing court bundles and supporting litigation processes
Conducting legal and factual research
Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other third parties
Attending client meetings and taking detailed notes
Assisting with the day-to-day management of cases
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures

About You

We are looking for an individual who combines strong academic credentials with a genuine interest in Family Law.

You will ideally have:

A degree (minimum 2:1 preferred)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
