We are looking for an assistant to help in all areas of our vibrant and thriving Plant Department during our busy bedding season at our Shepperton Branch. You should have a passion for plants and the enthusiasm to use these qualities to provide excellent service to our customers. We are looking or a team player who is passionate about providing excellent retail standards and customer service.

Department: Plants

Contract: Temporary Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per a week

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensuring the general housekeeping of the area is maintained including watering of the Bedding and Shrubs area as directed by the Line Manager
Replenishing and merchandising of stock, ensuring that all the products are correctly prices, clearly marked and displayed safely
Processing customer orders, including use of the till system
Dealing professionally with enquiries from customers, giving help and advice on plant care and arranging delivery of their plants
You may be required to work in other areas of the business as and when required

Plant knowledge
You are enthusiastic and approachable
Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
You are willing to develop and learn
Good customer service skills
Previous Garden Centre experience
