Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a technically minded part time Web Developer to join our Marketing Agency team. The opportunity to be part of a fun, positive environment immersed in global projects is one we are proud to deliver. The ideal candidate should be comfortable independently running the delivery of multiple Web Development projects and support tickets in a timely manner. They are responsible for ensuring work is delivered to the deadlines, requirements and quality agreed. They should be able to write and amend high quality code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. They are team players and excellent communicators.

This role is based at our offices in Redditch, so candidates must be able to travel. The hours of work would be 9:30 to 15:00, Monday-Friday allowing flexibility for school runs.

The pro-rata'd salary range for this Web Development position is £28,000 - £38,000 annually.

Skills

A solid knowledge & understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, SQL & WebAPI’s
Strong knowledge of WordPress, Shopify & other CMS systems
Ability to develop new websites from scratch and troubleshoot existing client websites to resolve technical back-end and front-end issues
Excellent communication skills with internal & external stakeholders
Understanding of digital software & new emerging systems
Self-motivated with an ability to work independently

Duties

Responsible for the full project lifecycle including proposal, design, development, testing & launch
Write clean, scalable code & confidently revise, update, refact & debug code
Progress regular plugin updates, content & WordPress updates for client websites
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to oversee project implementation
Knowledgeable on and keeping up to date with applications, programs & technology
Lead with complex technical support, testing & release of websites
Engage in regular dialogue with clients regarding ongoing projects
Handle & distribute enquiries & support tickets accordingly
Support with UX/UI elements on websites
Ensure all project tasks, timelines & deadlines are resourced & completed accordingly
Support with bidding & work-winning programmes

You will be enthusiastic about technical things and able to explain complex web development aspects in a simple way to customers and colleagues. You’ll be a confident, diligent, self-starter looking for a rewarding position within a growing marketing agency. Have the enthusiasm, motivation and drive to succeed. Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
