We're looking for a friendly and highly organised person to join us as Receptionist and Administration Assistant, covering a period of maternity leave. You'll report to the School Business Manager and be the first face parents, visitors and pupils see when they walk through our door, keeping communication flowing smoothly between families, staff and senior leaders while helping our site stay safe, professional and welcoming every single day. It's a role built on trust and care for detail, and it genuinely shapes how families experience our school.

-
Communicates confidently and appropriately with both children and adults, adapting their approach to suit the person and the situation, whether that means offering reassurance, giving clear direction, or handling a call or visitor at the door
-
Can hold several things at once, a ringing phone, a full inbox and someone waiting patiently at the hatch, without ever losing their calm
-
Treats confidential information with the care and discretion it deserves
-
Notices what needs doing before being asked, and follows things through
-
Feels at home as part of a close, supportive school team
You will need:
-
Experience in a busy office, reception or customer facing environment
-
Strong communication skills, spoken and written
-
A steady, capable presence, even when the day gets full
-
Strong, confident IT skills, with hands on experience using email, spreadsheets, databases, documents and producing online newsletters and Google forms.
-
A real interest in being part of a school community and helping it thrive
