We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Fitness Advisor to join our friendly Gym Team for an average of 18 hours a week, over a rolling 3-week rota.
- Week 1: Tuesday 1530-2000 / Wednesday 1530-2000 / Thursday 0630-1200 / Saturday 1145-1700
- Week 2: Tuesday 1530-2000 / Wednesday 1530-2000 / Thursday 0630-1200 / Sunday 0645-1200
- Week 3: Tuesday 1530-2000 / Wednesday 1530-2000 / Thursday 0630-1200
The Gym is open Monday to Friday 06:00-22:00, Saturday & Sunday 07:00-17:00. Other shifts available for holiday and sickness cover as required.
You will act as a primary point of contract for all customers, monitoring the gym floor and offering assistance and advice to customers. You will also deliver inductions and basic training sessions to new members, helping them to identify and work towards their fitness goals.
If you have an appropriate Level 2 or 3 qualification, such as YMCA Gym Instructor, some experience in Health & Fitness and/or related industries, and a passion for fitness we’d love to hear from you.
You may be expected to deliver Group Cycling sessions as determined by the rota, so experience of this is desirable but not essential as training can be provided. Experience of teaching aqua aerobics, circuit style classes, HIIT or any other group fitness formats would also be an advantage.
* An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position *
Rates of Pay:
- £13.23 per hour (18+)
- £10.30 per hour (16-17)
