Virtual On-Call Care Coordinator

About VCC
VCC provides professional virtual care coordination and out-of-hours support to care agencies across the UK. We work closely with each agency to provide a personalised service in line with their policies, procedures and CQC expectations.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Health and Social Care professional to join our part-time virtual on-call team.
You will provide remote support to carers and care agencies during evenings, weekends, bank holidays and occasional overnight periods.
Your role will include:
- Responding to out-of-hours calls and queries from carers.
- Providing guidance and support with care-related situations.
- Managing and escalating incidents appropriately.
- Supporting carers with safeguarding and other concerns.
- Liaising with emergency services, healthcare professionals and agency management when required.
- Following client-specific policies and procedures.
- Accurately documenting calls, incidents and actions taken.
- Providing clear handovers and maintaining professional communication.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- At least 2 years' experience within Health and Social Care.
- Hands-on experience as a Carer, Support Worker, Senior Carer or similar.
- A good understanding of CQC standards and expectations.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, MCA, consent, confidentiality and safe care practice.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Confidence working independently from home.
- MUST understand how to manage rotas
- Good IT and digital systems skills.
- Strong organisation and time management.
Experience as a Care Coordinator, Senior Carer, Field Care Supervisor, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager or On-Call Coordinator would be advantageous.
Essential Availability
You MUST be able to work every other weekend.
You must also be available to work a combination of:
Evenings | Early mornings | Weekends | Bank Holidays | Occasional overnight cover
