Full job description

Are you a master of organisation with a knack for keeping things running like clockwork? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Training Admin Assistant to join our friendly, dynamic team and support the smooth running of the CSA Centre's training and consultancy offer.

About role:

The Training Admin Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the CSA Centre's training and consultancy programme, delivered by a mix of CSA Centre staff and external trainers to a range of professionals across all agencies working with children and young people. The CSA Centre delivered specialist child sexual abuse training to more than 10,000 professionals in the last year alone, and growing demand for this training has seen the programme expand considerably in recent years. Our training receives consistently excellent feedback and is central to our ambition to improve the response given to children and young people at risk of or suffering from sexual abuse.

As the CSA Centre's Training Admin Assistant, you will work closely with our training team and handle core administrative tasks to ensure our training programme continues to run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives on routine, is exceptionally detail-oriented, and enjoys keeping things organised.

Key tasks will include:

Working with the wider CSA Centre team to ensure all training content is kept up to date with the latest research and practice insights published by the CSA Centre;
Updating and managing the CSA Centre's Training Bookings spreadsheet, where all training commissions, attendance numbers and financial records for our training commissions are recorded;
Populating and managing the CSA Centre's training calendar, including creating calendar invites with key details for all new training commissions;
Liaising regularly with our pool of internal and external trainers, including ensuring they have access to the latest training materials and managing attendee lists ahead of training sessions;
Supporting the induction, training and management of all CSA Centre trainers, and maintaining accurate records on the required system(s);
Liaising with the CSA Centre's research and evaluation team to ensure that all training courses have dedicated feedback surveys, and ensuring that training slides include up to date links to the relevant surveys;
Assisting with producing reports on training programme output and performance for internal and external audiences, as required.
Setting up training courses on MS Teams (where training is delivered virtually) or, in some cases, via Eventbrite / Ticket Tailor, and ensuring all participants and trainers have the relevant links for the training they are attending or delivering;
Managing the circulation of pre- and post-training materials to participants, including calendar invites and certificates of attendance.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. As a small team, we rely on flexibility at all levels to ensure successful delivery of our ambitious work programme.

Since we were founded in 2017, the CSA Centre has sought to improve the understanding of and response to child sexual abuse. Funded by the Home Office and hosted by Barnardo's, our team collates and analyses existing research, policy, practice, and the experiences of survivors, to allow us to fill the gaps with new research, insights and analysis. With a multi-disciplinary team, we then use that evidence and insight to develop new approaches and apply learning in practice through training and resources.

We bring about change by:

Collating and analysing existing research, policy, practice and the real experiences of those affected, and filling the gaps we identify with new research, insights and analysis;
Using that evidence and insight to challenge and improve existing policy and practice, develop new approaches and increase everyone's knowledge and confidence to more effectively tackle the issue.

By professionals, researchers, policymakers, businesses, and communities working together, we believe that we can tackle child sexual abuse.

Working arrangements

The role is home based with only occasional travel required, usually to London.

The role is intended for 29 hours a week, ideally from Monday to Thursday though we would be happy to discuss these requirements with interested candidates and may be able to offer some flexibility in the working pattern. The postholder may be required to work outside agreed working hours in exceptional circumstances – though this would always be discussed and agreed in advance.

This role is currently funded until 31 March 2027, in line with the grant funding arrangements for the CSA Centre.
