Full time, permanent | £32,000 to £38,000
We are a UK based digital marketing company looking for an Account Manager to manage relationships with our landscaping and garden design clients.
This is a client-facing role. You will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, helping them understand how their marketing is performing, keeping work on track and making sure they feel well looked after.
The role is fully remote and based around normal UK working hours.
The role
Our clients are owners of landscaping and garden design businesses. They are practical, direct and often working on site rather than sitting at a desk. They do not want marketing jargon. They want clear answers about what is being done, whether it is working and what happens next.
You will be responsible for communicating that clearly and building trusted, long-term relationships with our clients.
You will not manage SEO or Google Ads campaigns yourself. We have specialists responsible for SEO, paid advertising, websites and copywriting. However, you will need to understand the work well enough to explain it confidently, answer client questions and make sure agreed actions are completed.
Your overall responsibility will be to ensure clients receive clear communication, reliable service and a consistently positive experience.
About us
Landscape Marketers is a specialist digital marketing agency working exclusively with landscaping and garden design companies across the UK.
We provide website design, SEO, social media, email marketing, advertising and marketing automation.
Because we specialise in one sector, we understand our clients’ businesses and the challenges they face. Our clients stay with us because we generate results, communicate clearly and provide a dependable service.
What you will be doing
- Holding a monthly Zoom review call with each client to discuss performance, progress and priorities for the month ahead
- Preparing monthly reports and explaining the results clearly, including advertising spend, enquiries generated, what is working and what needs attention
- Sharing your screen on those calls, then following up with a written summary and clear next steps
- Sending a recorded video update when a client cannot make a call
- Replying to client emails and calls promptly, normally within the same working day
- Recording client requests, coordinating them with the delivery team and keeping the client updated until the work is completed
- Identifying ways to improve the service and make each client feel individually valued
What we are looking for
- A confident and approachable communicator who is comfortable speaking with clients by phone and video
- The ability to manage difficult or frustrated clients calmly and professionally
- Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and avoid unnecessary jargon
- Well organised, reliable, and accountable for their own follow-up
- The ability to explain technical or complicated subjects simply
- A quick learner who takes the initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
Technical Knowledge
- Comfortable with Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
- Familiar with Google Ads, Google Analytics and marketing reporting dashboards
- Confident interpreting figures such as advertising spend, cost per enquiry and return on investment
- Comfortable running meetings and sharing reports on Zoom
You do not need to be able to manage SEO or Google Ads campaigns yourself. You do need enough understanding to discuss performance confidently and answer most client questions without referring everything back to the delivery team.
Your experience
- At least two years’ experience in account management, client services, marketing, advertising, PR or another relevant client-facing role
- Previous agency experience would be an advantage
- A relevant degree is welcome but not essential. We place more importance on communication, judgement and how you work with clients
What we offer
- Salary of £32,000 to £38,000 depending on experience
- Fully remote, full-time and permanent position
- Company pension
- 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- The opportunity to join a small, supportive and experienced team
- A specialist role working with established clients in a defined industry
