About Dobrov & Family Group
Dobrov & Family Group (DFG) is a family-owned group with assets under management of over EUR 300 million. We invest, develop, and operate across four core verticals: real estate development, hospitality development, renewable energy, and venture capital. Our portfolio companies operate across multiple European jurisdictions.
We are at an inflection point. Our 2030 strategy is a growth-oriented approach across our vertical that requires smart capital deployment, high returns, multi-jurisdictional consolidation, and a deliberate digital-first transformation of how the group operates, including the finance function.
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially oriented, hands-on Group Head of Finance to run the group's financial function, reporting directly to the CEO. You will own month-end close, management reporting, and budgeting coordination across our multi-jurisdictional portfolio. This is an operational role for someone who is comfortable managing the financial function, providing support and advisory to the board and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and support operations. Also, this is not a "status quo" role; it is a mandate for a future builder who treats finance as a strategic asset for operations and the company's success.
Digital transformation is a top priority, and we expect AI to be at the heart of that evolution. We are looking for a leader who will move AI beyond theory, someone empowered with a dedicated budget and autonomy to push automation into real-world workflows and elevate the entire team’s efficiency through technology.
What You Will Do-
Partner with the founders and the Board on long-term strategy, capital allocation, and decisions regarding joint ventures and acquisitions.
-
Directly lead the integration of a new group-wide accountancy and consolidation system across all international entities.
-
Supervise the build-out of reporting, software, and tools for budgeting, consolidation, and forecasting.
-
Take full ownership of the end-to-end budgeting process across all locations and projects, including major construction budgets.
-
Lead month-end close, management reporting, and the preparation of group consolidated accounts across all jurisdictions.
-
Present highly detailed and scrutinised financial data to involve leadership and investors, justifying financial logic with clarity.
-
Optimise group financing arrangements, treasury functions, and the management of complex international bank accounts.
-
Implement consistent financial policies and internal financial controls to manage operational bottlenecks and approval delays.
-
Mentor and manage a decentralised finance team, building structured processes where data or direction may be lacking.
What We Are Looking For-
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / FCCA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience and a relevant Master’s degree.
-
Over 5 years in a senior finance leadership role with strong managerial responsibility.
-
Essential experience in financial consolidation across different jurisdictions and international tax planning.
-
Proven track record in implementing new finance systems, software, and operational processes.
-
Proven experience in designing and implementing robust financial control frameworks and internal policies to eliminate operational bottlenecks and streamline approval workflows
-
An owner’s mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
-
Solid communication skills and the diplomacy required to work closely with hands-on founders and detail-oriented investors.
-
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple entities
-
Strong analytical skills and a genuine drive to interrogate data through AI and modern digital tools.
-
English language proficiency at C1 level; Russian language skills are welcomed for internal stakeholder communication.
-
Willingness to work remotely within Europe with periodic travel for key board and banking meetings.
What we offer-
Competitive package commensurate with experience, including a long-term incentive component aligned with the company's goals.
-
A modern technology stack and a meaningful budget for AI tools, automation, and continuous professional learning.
-
Direct access to the founders and Board, giving you the chance to shape the group's direction during a defining growth chapter.
-
Autonomy to lead the finance function with the tools and authority to implement real change.
