ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a commercially minded Corporate Litigation & Shareholder Disputes Lawyer to support the founder of multiple brands and companies across a range of corporate, shareholder, director and contractual matters.
The role will involve working directly with the founder on both current disputes and ongoing legal matters, providing practical, strategic and commercially focused advice.
We are looking for someone who understands that strong litigation is not simply about quoting law. It requires excellent research, attention to evidence, creative legal thinking, strong drafting and the ability to build a persuasive case strategy.
Lawyers with 1–2 years’ PQE are very welcome to apply, as are more experienced solicitors. Attitude, intelligence, research ability and a strong can-do approach are equally important.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise on shareholder and director disputes
- Advise on shareholder rights and directors’ duties
- Provide guidance on the Companies Act 2006 and UK company law
- Review Articles of Association, shareholder arrangements and equity agreements
- Advise on corporate governance, board authority and voting rights
- Review shareholder/director loans and related agreements
- Advise on contractual and commercial disputes
- Review correspondence, agreements and documentary evidence
- Build clear chronologies and evidence-based case strategies
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in both our position and the opposing case
- Conduct detailed legal research to support arguments and strategy
- Draft strong legal correspondence, notices and responses
- Support negotiations, mediation and settlement discussions
- Assist with preparation for litigation where required
- Work with barristers and other specialist advisers when necessary
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Commercial litigation
- Shareholder disputes
- Director disputes
- Company law
- Directors’ duties
- Corporate governance
- Equity or share ownership disputes
- Contract disputes
- Unfair prejudice matters
- Loan or financing disputes
- Negotiation and dispute resolution
We are also very open to lawyers with 1–2 years’ PQE who can demonstrate strong legal ability, ambition and the willingness to take ownership of a matter.

- Focused on achieving strong outcomes rather than simply completing tasks
Experience demonstrating successful outcomes in contentious matters, including cases where strong research, evidence review or creative legal strategy helped achieve a positive result, will be particularly valued.
THE ROLE
This role will initially support the founder across an existing shareholder/director dispute, but there is potential for broader ongoing work across multiple companies and brands.
The successful candidate will become a trusted legal resource to the founder, helping protect his commercial interests, assess risk, develop strategy and support future corporate and litigation matters.
