Candidate requirements
Essential
Proven track record of success teaching or tutoring IB Mathematics, with a solid understanding of the IB curriculum and assessment requirements, including:
Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL / HL
Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation SL / HL
Familiarity with key IB assessment components, including Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 (for HL where applicable), and the Internal Assessment / Maths IA
Strong ability to support students with mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, exam techniques, structured working-out, and topic-by-topic revision
Familiarity with a wide range of IB Maths topics, including algebra, functions, calculus, statistics, probability, trigonometry, vectors, and modelling
Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
Recognised teaching qualification
Able and willing to provide an enhanced DBS check
Right to work in the UK
Preferred
IB examiner experience (strong advantage)
School teaching experience, or experience teaching in international / independent schools
Extensive experience working with international students, especially Chinese-speaking students
Experience creating Maths revision resources or practice assessments
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality one-to-one and small group online tuition in IB Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches and/or Applications and Interpretation, SL and HL)
Create tailored lesson plans, homework, and revision resources for students
Support students with Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 (HL) preparation and the Internal Assessment / Maths IA
Provide clear, constructive feedback and set achievable learning goals
Support students with exam technique, structured working-out, and confidence-building
