Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for metalwork and mechanical processes, working in a dynamic environment that values craftsmanship and safety. Duties

Perform TIG/MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
Fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal pieces
Conduct basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fabrication
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments or repairs as required
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship

Experience

Proven experience in TIG/MIG welding is essential; familiarity with welding techniques is desirable
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment is required
Knowledge of sheet metal work and mechanical assembly processes is highly advantageous
Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices
Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
Prior experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments will be beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary
