Job Purpose

Your Tasks
· Based in our distribution department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and transfer of finished goods to transport lorries. This will involve keeping the line running, resolving any issues in a timely manner, loading pallets and moving into the blast chiller, wrapping pallets and loading onto lorries, completing excel spreadsheets for quality checks and logging data.
· Responsible for ensuring all tasks carried out within the allocated work area, are done so in a manner to protect product safety, legality, quality in accordance with the Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), which encompasses HACCP and requirements of BRC, ISO22000 and Organic certification.
· Responsible for monitoring a critical control point (CCP) to prevent the inadvertent release of non-conforming product to assure food product safety.
· To observe the highest of personal hygiene as stipulated within the company hygiene rules and good manufacturing policies.
· Assist with any cleaning to ensure that the distribution and wrapping area is kept clean and tidy and for the removal of any spillages should they occur to prevent the risk of pest infestation and cross contamination of known allergens.
· Efficiently operate, upkeep and maintain company equipment and machinery.
Skills we need
This is a physically demanding post as you will be required to operate machinery, work in cold areas and load lorries. You will be PC literate and preferably have knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety Regulations. A fork lift licence is essential and qualifications in Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2 and Manual Handling would be beneficial. Full training will be provided.
