About Us
Knoetze Ltd specialises in insurance reinstatement, refurbishment and renovation projects across Surrey, Sussex, Kent and the wider Home Counties.
Our projects range from fire and flood reinstatement works to high-quality residential refurbishments within occupied homes. Much of our work is carried out within high-value and high-net-worth residential properties where professionalism, attention to detail and exceptional workmanship are essential.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and self-motivated Multi-Skilled Reinstatement & Refurbishment Operative to join our growing team.
This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. We are looking for an individual who can think ahead, solve problems, take ownership of their work and consistently deliver a high standard of workmanship with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a broad range of refurbishment, renovation and insurance reinstatement works. The ideal candidate will be capable of carrying out many of the following tasks independently and to a high standard, whilst also supporting specialist trades where appropriate:
- Strip-out and removal of damaged materials, fixtures and fittings.
- Protection of existing finishes, furniture and client belongings.
- Installation and repair of skirting boards, architraves, internal doors, ironmongery and general carpentry items.
- Plasterboard installation, patch repairs, making good and preparation for decoration.
- Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking and priming.
- General building repairs following fire, flood and escape of water damage.
- Flooring preparation, repairs and finishing works.
- Kitchen, bathroom and utility room refurbishment works.
- Snagging, finishing and quality control works.
- Material collection, delivery checks and site organisation.
- Identifying problems, proposing practical solutions and helping keep projects moving efficiently.
Where specialist works are required, the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside and support plumbers, electricians, decorators, flooring contractors and other specialist trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
We are looking for somebody who takes pride in producing quality work, keeps themselves busy without being constantly instructed, works well within a team and treats every property as if it were their own. Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude are just as important as technical ability.
No two days are the same. One day may involve strip-out and preparation works, whilst the next could involve carpentry, plasterboard repairs, making good, finishing works, snagging or supporting specialist trades. The successful candidate must be adaptable, proactive and capable of producing neat, high-quality work from start to finish.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience within residential refurbishment, reinstatement, renovation or property maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge across multiple trades.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own reliable transport is essential.
- Fluent English.
- UK work authorisation.
- CSCS card preferred.
