The role:
We are looking for a Press Operator / Setter to join our production team. In this role, you will be running press machines which produce builders metalwork from steel coils. These items are sold in our onsite shop and sent out to customers both nationwide & internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating on power punch presses.
- Producing a range of builders metalwork items to a high standard.
- Batch production to order.
- Fitting tools and setting the press for other colleagues.
- Reporting any faulty/flawed tools or punches to the production manager to limit damage to the press machines.
- Adhere to Policies: Ensure all company policies, including health and safety procedures, are followed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of running power press machines preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail.
- A hard working and team playing attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry products up to a specified weight.
- Stand for extended periods.

About you:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong sense of teamwork. Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly preferred although full training will be given. An interest in manufacturing and a willingness to continually learn and grow are also key to succeeding in this role.
Working Hours & Parking:
This role is a full time, permanent position. Your standard hours will be 39.5hrs per week. Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 4.30pm and Friday: 7.30am – 1pm. Options to start earlier can be available.
There is a the potential to pick up some overtime hours during very busy periods.
We do not have onsite parking, but there is residential parking nearby. We are very close to bus stops serving the 700 Coastliner or close to Fishersgate & Portslade train stations.
