Our Network teams include:
· Enhanced Care Visiting team for frail housebound patients and those in care homes. The team includes visiting GPs, ANPs, Paramedic, Frailty Nurses, Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacist.
· BEC Urgent Care Treatment Centre working out of the Treatment Centre at Shelley Manor Medical Centre supported by GPs, ANP’s, Respiratory Nurse and HCA’s.
· First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioner service.
· Digital Lead
· Pharmacy team comprising of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
· Mental Health practitioners and Mental Health triage practitioners
· Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers within Help & Care team.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS Clearance. Should you have this certificate as part of the DBS subscription service, we would be happy to accept this providing the original is shown. Otherwise, you will be expected to complete a new application.
The Pharmacy Team office is based at the Bournemouth East Collaborative PCN Treatment Centre at Shelley Manor Medical Centre, Bournemouth, located within Shelley Park and with the beach within easy walking distance.
Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our innovative Primary Care Network (PCN) pharmacy team, supporting a population of over 53,000 patients across multiple GP practices. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while helping to shape and improve medicines optimisation services within primary care.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Clinical Pharmacists, GPs, nurses, administrators, and other healthcare professionals within and outside of the organisation to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines. You will support a range of activities including medicines reconciliation, new patient medication reviews, prescription management, responding to medication queries, and identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes in areas such as cardiovascular disease prevention. Another key area is supporting with the management/care of our patients with hypertension, through direct patient contact, up titration of medication and lifestyle counselling.

What we need from you:
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
Essential
· Hold a BTEC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Pharmaceutical Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a practicing Pharmacy Technician.
· Ability to undertake the 15-month CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway if not already completed
Experience
Desirable
· A minimum of two years post qualification experience is desired.
· Although an advantage to have knowledge and understanding of pharmacy practice in primary care, it is not essential, and training and support will be given.
· Completion of the CPPE pathway

· Have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
