Contracted Hours: Guaranteed 45-Hour Weekly Contract + Hourly Paid Overtime

Base Salary: £14.21 – £15.21 per hour (£33,342.75 – £35,689.18 per annum) depending on experience

Estimated Gratuities: +£0.95 per hour (~£2,223.00 per annum in tips)

Total Package Value: Up to £37,912.18 per annum

As Deputy General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to drive standards, develop the team and ensure the day-to-day operation consistently delivers our expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Guest Service: Lead by example in delivering friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service, ensuring every guest receives an outstanding experience.
Operational Excellence: Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring food, drink, service, cleanliness and operational standards are consistently maintained.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the team, creating a positive working environment while ensuring individuals are supported to reach their potential.
Commercial Performance: Support the General Manager with sales, labour, stock and wastage management, helping to maximise profitability and maintain effective cost control.
Standards & Compliance: Ensure company procedures, health & safety, food safety, licensing and operational standards are consistently followed.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the operation, guest experience and team performance, contributing to the continued development of the business.

Requirements

Experience: Proven experience in a senior management role within a busy, high-quality hospitality environment, ideally leading a fresh-food pub, restaurant or premium food and beverage venue. We’re looking for an experienced operator who understands the demands of running a similar style business and is excited by the opportunity to make their mark, shape the operation and play a key role in the continued growth of an expanding company.
Leadership: Confident leading and developing a team, with the ability to motivate others, set clear expectations and maintain high standards during busy trading periods.
Standards Focus: A genuine passion for quality food, premium beverages and exceptional guest experiences, with strong attention to detail.
Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable and comfortable working across weekdays, evenings and weekends as part of a senior management role.
Communication: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to work effectively with guests, colleagues and senior management.

Guaranteed Hours & Paid Overtime: A guaranteed 45-hour weekly contract with every extra hour paid—no unpaid salary overtime!
Transparent Total Pay: Competitive annual basic salary package between £33,342.75 and £35,689.18, supplemented by an estimated £0.95 per hour in tips (~£2,223.00 per annum), giving a total package of up to £37,912.18 per annum.
