Due to our continued growth, we're on the lookout for a bright, enthusiastic individual to join our sales team at our Sawley, Nottingham site. If you're passionate about HGVs, eager to learn, and ready to take your career in a new direction, we want to hear from you!

The Role: Used Truck Sales Consultant

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge of HGVs, or previous experience in a similar role, looking to step into a sales-focused position. You don't need any prior sales experience—we'll provide you with all the training and support you need. Whether you're an ex-HGV Technician or Mechanic seeking a fresh career challenge, or have previous experience in sales, this role is perfect for you!

As a Used Truck Sales consultant, you'll be responsible for selling quality used trucks to customers both in the UK and overseas, building strong relationships with new and existing clients, and driving the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

Master Sales Skills: Learn valuable sales techniques, understand customer requirements, and get to grips with the sales cycle to effectively meet the needs of our clients.
Sell with Confidence: Sell used trucks to both UK-based and international customers, with plenty of support and training.
Prospecting: Actively generate new business opportunities, engaging with both new and existing customers.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face, providing excellent customer service at all stages.
Product Expertise: Offer expert advice and information on our products, ensuring customers have all the details they need.
Tailored Quotes: Provide accurate and financially sound quotations based on customer needs.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with all areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction is consistently exceeded.
Vehicle Coordination: Liaise with the workshop regarding customer vehicles and ensure smooth delivery and export processes.
Event Support: Attend and support customer events, including some outside of normal working hours, to drive business growth.

Essential Skills

Solid mechanical knowledge of HGVs, or previous experience in a related field.
A strong desire to learn and develop in a sales environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Problem-solving mindset—always looking for ways to help our customers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Computer literate.
HGV license is beneficial, but not required.
