Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain paintshop equipment, including spray booths, curing ovens, and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Manage shotblast machinery, ensuring proper abrasive blasting procedures are followed to prepare surfaces effectively.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment using industrial electrician experience and industrial mechanic knowledge to prevent downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and document all repairs and inspections thoroughly.
- Assist with technical sales support by providing expertise on surface preparation processes and machinery capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage systems, low voltage controls, HVAC/R systems, and other industrial safety protocols.
Requirements
- Due to working with the Ministry of Defence this vacancy is only open to British Nationals
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment, preferably with industrial maintenance or mechanical roles.
- Previous experience including working on a paintline
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; strong documentation skills are necessary for maintaining detailed maintenance logs.
