Full job description

We are a large and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy service of around 100 staff, working across all service areas in Derbyshire.

This exciting opportunity has arisen in the children's team and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced BANK speech and language therapist.

The role will also provide a clinical service to children and young people with a range of communication difficulties in a variety of settings, including education settings, nurseries, clinics and clients’ homes.

All our therapists work with children who have a wide range of speech, language, communication and eating and drinking needs.

The successful candidate will be a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist and be mobile between locations.

They will be proficient in their abilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice, with a proven ability to provide leadership and support within an SLT service.

You will work alongside a friendly team of SLTs, SLPs and SLTAs, with line management support from an SLT team leader, as well as having access to clinical supervision and relevant CPD opportunities.

You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient-focused care and be a strong team player.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
