THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a technically strong and client-focused Professional Services 2nd Line Engineer to join our service desk. This is a very proactive role, dealing with laptop setups, project work, and onsite visits. You will also work with 3rd Line to deliver more complex tasks. The core responsibilities focus on more complex systems, using your knowledge and skills to deliver project tasks. You will need to be highly competent in a range of solutions that Computer Care supplies to its Truly Managed Service (TMS) customers, able to deploy these solutions and troubleshoot issues around deployment.
This role is pivotal to how the professional service team operates, it sits as a more technical role than First Line, with a focus on deeper understanding of the technologies we use. The core responsibilities focus on more complex systems, using your knowledge and skills to deliver project tasks. You will need to be highly competent in a range of solutions that Computer Care supplies to its truly managed service customers, able to deploy these solutions and troubleshoot issues around deployment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Perform physical hardware installations including servers, network equipment, printers, and peripherals.
- Building servers and advanced equipment.
- Follow build procedures and checklists to ensure consistency of service delivery.
- Provisioning cloud services like office 365 tenant setup and SharePoint.
- Updating IT Glue to ensure new equipment is fully registered, warranty information stored and password recorded.
- Executing assigned project tasks in accordance with requirements and deadline.
- Ensuring all work and tasks are scheduled for team capacity planning and timely project delivery. Also making sure that clients and internal teams are communicated with on relevant projects/updates.
- Attending customer site to carry out project tasks as part of the project delivery team.
- Building, configuring, and imaging laptops and desktops according to standardised build procedures.
- Executing cable management and physical infrastructure work to professional standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Based within one hour's commute of our Leatherhead offices
- At least 2 years in a Professional Services Level 1 or equivalent IT support role - MSP experience preferred
- Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows, networking, and cloud platforms
- A track record of delivering project tasks on time and in budget
- Holds a Microsoft 365 or equivalent associate-level certification
- Complete FortiNet NSE 4 and NSE 5 Exams for 'Fortinet Certified Professional’. Both the NSE 4 and 5 Exams need to be completed within two years.
- Be willing to work towards an advanced Azure certification, such as Azure Solutions
Architect Expert.
