Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Sales Bid Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and accurate bid proposals that effectively communicate our company's offerings and value propositions. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Word, and a keen eye for proofreading to ensure all documents are polished and professional. The ideal applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of bid writing processes to support our business growth.
Duties
- Develop, write, and edit bid proposals, tenders, and other sales documentation in response to client requests.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to gather relevant information and ensure bid content aligns with client requirements.
- Proofread all documents meticulously to eliminate errors and enhance clarity.
- Utilise MONDAY.com or similar tools to create visual representations such as flowcharts or diagrams that support bid submissions.
- Maintain an organised repository of previous bids, templates, and related documentation for future use.
- Ensure all bid documents adhere to company branding guidelines and quality standards.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of bid writing processes and templates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bid or proposal writing within a sales or business development environment.
- Excellent proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in word processing software such as Microsoft Word; experience with MONDAY.com is desirable.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to gather necessary information.
- Knowledge of the industry’s bidding procedures and standards is advantageous but not essential.
