ABOUT THE ROLE ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ As a Vehicle Recovery Technician, you will: - Respond to breakdown and recovery callouts across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas - Safely recover, tow, and transport vehicles to designated locations - Provide roadside assistance to customers (jump starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, etc.) - Operate recovery vehicles and equipment professionally and safely - Assess damage and determine best recovery methods - Communicate professionally with customers during stressful situations - Maintain detailed records of all callouts and services provided - Keep recovery vehicles clean, maintained, and stocked with equipment - Work flexibly around peak calling times and customer demand - Build relationships with customers and ensure satisfaction KEY REQUIREMENTS ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ESSENTIAL: ✓ Proven experience working in vehicle recovery or breakdown services ✓ Valid UK driving licence (clean or minor endorsements discussed) ✓ Large vehicle driving experience (HGV/LGV preferred) ✓ Full knowledge of recovery techniques and safety protocols ✓ Physical fitness (heavy lifting, working outdoors in all weather) ✓ Flexibility to work callout hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends) ✓ Professional attitude and strong customer service skills ✓ Own reliable transport to attend callouts ✓ Willingness to work flexible terms to suit business needs DESIRABLE: ✓ HGV/LGV Category C licence ✓ Recovery Vehicle Operator training or certification ✓ Breakdown cover provider experience (AA, RAC, Green Flag, etc.) ✓ Advanced driving qualifications ✓ First Aid at Work certification WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
