We are looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team.
The Role
As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while creating engaging, child-led learning experiences. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS and the nursery curriculum.
- Support children's learning, development and school readiness through play-based experiences.
- Act as a Key Person, building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress using nursery assessment systems.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote children's communication, language, confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
- Support children with additional needs alongside the nursery SENCO where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records, including observations, accident reports and daily diaries.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and participate in training, staff meetings and professional development.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Level 3 Early Years Educator , Qualified Teacher Status (QTS),Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
- Experience working in an early years setting, particularly with preschool children (3-5)
- Good knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach.
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable
- Montessori experience or qualification.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Knowledge of Ofsted expectations.
