VACANCY: Maintenance Engineer

LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

SHIFT - Monday - Friday 07.00am - 4.00pm.

ABOUT US:

MTL Advanced is a Yorkshire-based steel engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 390,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham.

We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM’s from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance of all plant equipment. Our Maintenance Engineers provide full technical engineering support to the manufacturing function, involved in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, to minimise downtime, reduce costs and maximise productivity.

All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manor, reporting to supervisors, and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

· Organising routine servicing schedules / PPM schedules for multiple machines

· Research principles of machine operation to facilitate repairs

· Diagnose and fit new parts

· Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns

· Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed

· Making scheduled checks on machinery and parts

· Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule

· Working with OEM engineers

· Modifying machinery to fit our requirements

· Identifying and sourcing parts needed on breakdowns

· Working with H&S department

· Working solely on machinery to identify problems

· Working at height essential

· Ability to read and transfer schematic drawings to diagnosing machines

ABOUT YOU:

· Full exposure to maintenance, repairs and breakdowns within a metal fabrication / manufacturing environment

· Full exposure to industrial electrics (400v 3 phase)

· A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

· Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas

· Skills in Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical and electrical essential

· Hands on approach to any issue raised in the factory
