Job Title: Lecturer in Business

Location: Highbury Campus

Salary: £30,248.30 - £44,298.68 Full Time Equivalent per annum

Hours of work: 28 to 35 hours per week (inclusive of teaching and prep time), 52 weeks per year, Permanent

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our business teaching team. The business learning area offers a range of vocational and academic programmes at Level 2, Level 3, and T levels with teaching at our Highbury Campus.

A successful candidate would be working collaboratively within the business team to; teach and assess on a range of business topics and programmes, including management, administration, marketing, finance, and HR; provide high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of our diverse student cohorts; actively contribute to the development and delivery of a high quality, responsive business curriculum, and programmes; provide flexible assessment opportunities, realistic and relevant to the business sector, in line with current industry standards; closely plan and be accountable for monitoring, tracking, and recording student retention, progress, achievement, and success; contribute to and maintain quality assurance of the programmes delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives.
To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success.
To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include:
- Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
- Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

Educated to degree or appropriate trade level in specific subject area
Appropriate teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake
Appropriate Assessor/Verifier qualification, or willingness to undertake
Teaching experience, or an understanding of the role of a teacher and the professional responsibilities
Relevant and up to date industrial and/or subject related experience
Experience of delivering teaching/training in a diverse environment
