Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated steel erector/fitter/fabricator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, structural steel/Aluminium frameworks/structures and other metal components, mainly copper work, on various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of the erection & fabrication processes, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will possess mechanical knowledge, basic maths skills, and be competent working off of complex GA drawings. Work will be all over the UK and involves a lot of travel.

Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Assembly and installation of steel/aluminium structures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Measure materials accurately using basic maths skills to ensure precise fabrication and installation.
- Working off site layout drawings
- Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to safety regulations.
- Assist in the lifting, positioning, and securing of structural components on-site.
- Working away Monday-Friday, Sunday travel may be requested depending on the site location.
Qualifications
- CSCS card
- IPAF preferred
- Plant & Slinger/Signaller tickets advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication and/or erection processes.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to structural steel installation.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Experience with assembly of steel structures or similar projects is desirable.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
