Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations across multiple companies within our group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in an Accounts Manager or senior finance role
Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, CIS, PAYE, and HMRC processes
Proficient in Sage accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines
Professional communication and problem‑solving abilities

Duties

Oversee purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
Manage the preparation and processing of supplier payments and client invoicing
Review and reconcile accounts, including client remittances and bank reconciliations
Oversee monthly CIS submissions, subcontractor verification, and HMRC payments
Manage payroll preparation (PAYE) for submission to outsourced payroll provider
Produce financial reports, forecasts, and analysis for senior management
Monitor cashflow and support budgeting activities
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve financial queries
Support year‑end processes and work with external accountants
Oversee administrative finance tasks and support continuous process improvement

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
