Caretaker/Cleaner

Scamblesby Church of England Primary School

Old Main Road, Scamblesby, Louth, LN11 9XG

Required to start in September 2026, subject to all necessary checks

16 ¼ hours per week (3 ¼ hours per day 3pm-6.15pm)

Grade 4 SCP 9- 12 £13.50 per hour Actual Salary £10,259

39 weeks per year plus an additional 2 weeks in summer holidays

We are looking for a committed team member to join our happy and dedicated school family to provide caretaking duties at the end of the school day.

It is the responsibility of the school caretaker/cleaner to maintain and secure the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean and functional environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role includes all in school cleaning, building maintenance and supervision of external contractors.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:- a high standard of hygiene - good organisational skills ie . ordering equipment and products- a knowledge of intruder alarms and heating systems

- a good knowledge of health and safety matters

- an understanding of safe working methods in accordance with COSHH assessments.

- the ability to work successfully in a team with other staff
