Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Bakery Sales Assistant and kitchen assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baked goods, possess excellent customer service skills, and enjoy working in a lively retail environment.

This role offers an opportunity to engage with customers, promote our bakery products,

and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a keen eye for detail, Work as a team player.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections in a courteous manner
Provide detailed information about bakery products, including ingredients and special offers
Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently to process transactions accurately
Restock shelves with fresh baked goods and ensure displays are attractive and well-organised
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the sales area, including cleaning counters, tables and equipment, fallow weekly cleaning report
Handle customer enquiries promptly and resolve any issues professionally
Support the team during busy periods by serving food, cleaning tables, making sandwiches, keep the dinning area clean and tidy.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not essential;
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately
A genuine interest in baked goods and food products is advantageous
