Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our café runs smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall customer experience, from food preparation to maintaining cleanliness in the café environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders and answering any queries they may have.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the café, including tables, counters, and kitchen areas.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
Perform basic mathematical calculations for order processing and inventory management.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience in a café or food service environment is advantageous but not essential.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory checks are required.
A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills is essential for interacting with customers and team members alike.
