Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, and possess the ability to fabricate and assemble components with precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding and fitting tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Fabricate components from sheet metal and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble parts and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines.
Spray paint completed parts and equipment.

Skills

Proficient in MIG welding techniques with experience in various types of welding.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with fabrication processes, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience in assembly work, ensuring that components fit together correctly.
Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work consistently.
Experience in steel preparation and spraying.
