What can you expect?
As a Volunteer Administrator, you will play a key role in the recruitment, coordination, and support of our volunteer drivers, ensuring they have a rewarding experience while delivering an essential service to patients. Youll oversee training, welfare checks, mileage records, and compliance, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. Based in Redruth, this role offers a blend of office-based and home working, with occasional travel to other stations and locations across the county as required.

Main responsibilities:

Recruit, supervise, and support volunteers

Organise training sessions and ensure volunteers stay up to date

Conduct welfare checks to support volunteers' well-being

Maintain accurate mileage records and process claims
-
Handle data entry and prepare monthly reports

Maintain clear communication with volunteers
-
Ensure all safety and operational policies are followed

Address any concerns raised by volunteers

Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and report any issues
Person specification:

Strong organisational and leadership skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience in volunteer coordination (preferred but not essential)

A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work from home, Redruth base, or other locations as required

Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed
