About Lotus Laser Systems
Lotus Laser Systems designs, builds and supports industrial laser marking, engraving and cutting systems from our UK headquarters. We supply both standard and bespoke laser solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.
We're looking for a practical, customer-focused Applications & Field Service Technician to join our growing technical team.
The Role
You'll install, service and repair Lotus laser systems at customer sites across the UK, helping customers keep their equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role combines hands-on engineering with customer support and regular travel. Additionally you will process customer samples to achieve optimal results and provide training during installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission new laser systems.
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software faults.
- Train customers on machine operation and basic maintenance.
- Process customer materials and samples to achieve optimal results
- Provide remote technical support when required.
- Complete service reports and maintain service records.
- Manage company tools, spare parts and test equipment.
- Follow health and safety procedures and represent Lotus Laser professionally.
About You
You'll have experience servicing industrial machinery or electromechanical equipment and enjoy solving technical problems.
Essential:
- Mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good IT, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK (with occasional overnight stays).
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with laser systems, CNC machinery, automation, PLCs or industrial control systems.
- Installation, commissioning or customer training experience.
- Previous laser experience is an advantage but not essential—full product training will be provided.
