Maintenance Helpdesk Coordinator

Salary: £24,784 – £28,000 per year (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a motivated and organised Maintenance Helpdesk Coordinator to join our busy operations team based in Canvey Island.
This role sits at the heart of our business, supporting well-known retail and hospitality brands by ensuring maintenance requests are handled quickly, professionally, and efficiently. If you have an excellent phone manner, strong people skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is key, this could be the role for you.
You will work closely with our operational teams, engineers, and contractors, helping to coordinate reactive and planned maintenance while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for maintenance queries via phone and email
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and confident telephone service at all times
- Log, track, and manage jobs through the helpdesk system to ensure timely resolution
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance works to meet service level agreements
- Liaise closely with operational teams, field engineers, and external contractors
- Prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume environment
- Maintain accurate records and job updates using Microsoft Office and internal systems
- Support reporting and general administrative tasks within the helpdesk function
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent telephone manner with strong communication and people skills
- Experience working in a helpdesk, coordination, customer service, or facilities role (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal systems
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit operational team
