Full job description

Location: Selca Day Nursery – Pencoed
Pay: £10.85 – £13.45 per hour (dependent on age and childcare qualifications)
Contract: 24–40 hours per week
Hours: Monday to Friday (24–40 hours per week)

This isn’t your typical nursery role.

Selca Day Nursery – Pencoed is a growing packaway setting, based inside Pencoed Welfare Hall, working alongside a busy after school club.

We’re building something special and are looking for someone who wants to be part of it, someone who takes pride in what they do and enjoys capturing and sharing the everyday moments that matter with our families and wider community.

This role would suit someone who:

Loves working with early years children and supporting their development
Is hands-on, proactive and full of ideas
Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Can turn an open hall into a fun, engaging and safe space
Has a strong creative eye
Is confident using social media and enjoys capturing and sharing day-to-day moments in a professional, engaging way
Can help bring fresh ideas to how we showcase our setting to families

If you naturally bring energy, ideas and a positive presence into a room, we want to hear from you. You’ll support both our nursery and after school club, helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.

As a packaway setting, no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a team that sets up, adapts and transforms the space daily.

Childcare qualification desirable (Level 3: £13.45 per hour)
