Full job description

4.Operations, is recruiting, on behalf of a well-established passenger transport operator, an experienced General Manager to lead and develop its transport operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded transport professional looking to take ownership of a growing operation while leading operational teams and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day management of transport operations.
Organise and supervise office and operational staff.
Develop new business opportunities and build client relationships.
Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company procedures.
Participate in the on-call management rota.
Provide operational support, including driving duties when required.
Drive operational performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Passenger Transport.
Previous management experience within the passenger transport industry.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Commercial awareness and business development experience.
Valid DBS (or ability to obtain one).
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to live in or relocate within 20–30 minutes of Ipswich.
