Job summary:
This role is a great stepping stone for those who are studying towards an Accounting qualification. The role involves the day to day responsibility of a small portfolio of clients plus providing oversight and assistance to junior team members if appropriate.
Job Accountabilities:
> The preparation of a small portfolio of financial statements.
> Assistance to junior team members in resolving simple queries.
> Preparation of ad-hoc reporting to include, but not limited to, management accounts, loan interest schedules and asset statements.
> Work closely with the Team to provide support where necessary.
> Liaison with clients and their professional representatives either directly or via the trust administration teams, as required, on accounting related matters if requested.
> Build morale and team spirit by actively championing the company’s values and promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and leadership.
> Shape own development by identifying areas to improve own knowledge and skills and actively seek assistance.
Minimum Education & Experience
> Part ACCA qualified
> Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trust and Company accounts preparation.
Required Skills
> Experience with IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A accounts.
> Ability to prepare accounts of a moderately simple nature for Trusts and Companies.
> Excellent numeracy and computer skills, particularly working knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
> A highly organised and detail-oriented professional.
> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
> A positive ‘can do’ attitude together with the ability to work to deadlines
