Hours: Full-time (typically 41 hours per week)

Location: Wigan Office

Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience

Role Overview:

Matic Building Services Ltd is seeking a highly organised and proactive Engineering Service Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of our Service Department.

Working across our Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire & Security service teams, you will play a key role in coordinating service activities, managing documentation, scheduling engineers, and ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service. This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day administrative tasks within the Service Department
Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries
Process service requests and accurately raise jobs within the job management system
Schedule and coordinate service appointments for engineers
Review engineers' reports for accuracy and completeness before issuing to customers
Maintain certification records, ensuring all documentation is correctly logged and stored
Issue service reports and certificates promptly
Chase outstanding information from engineers, customers, and subcontractors
Upload material costs and maintain accurate job records
Provide service updates and communicate effectively with customers
Support other departments with general administrative duties as required

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience using job management systems or CRM software
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
