We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager to support the day-to-day running of the regional operations and compliance of a number of sites across the Greater Manchester and wider region. Reporting into the Operations Manager, the role will be responsible for the cleaning teams across various sites.
You will be based from home, managing your own diary with regular site visits across the region each week in addition your role will support with cover cleaning for sickness and holidays.
The role is working within the facilities management and commercial cleaning sector and we are looking for someone with experience in this field, both cleaning and management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interviewing, onboarding and inducting new employees.
- Acting as the main point of contact for employees within the region.
- Manage and motivate the team of employees across the sites.
- Maintaining professional business relationships across the region ensuring employee and Clients needs are met and contract requirements are being adhered too.
- Completing regular audits and site inspections.
- Account management of key Clients and building long lasting business relationships through regular Client contact either via phone, email or in-person meetings.
- Dealing with any corrective issues regarding standards and conduct on sites.
- Supporting with aspects of HR and people management. Ensuring all paperwork requirements are fully compliant.
- Completing payroll requirements ready for submission and managing requirements on a weekly basis.
- Complete and manage employee paperwork inline with Company requirements.
- Working closely with HR for any updates and requirements in staffing.
- Managing all employee enquires in a timely and professional manner.
- To assist with the management of employees such as Personal Improvement Plans (PIP), absence management, capability management and consultations.
- Ensure all sickness absences have a Return to Work completed.
- Managing regional stock and machinery requirements.
- Supporting with health and Safety requirements for the region.
- Ensure effective operational communication and supporting Operational Manager with effective service delivery in the region and strategic growth.
- Cleaning for any cover requirements in the area – such as holiday and sickness
This role offers lots of scope for progression into a Business Area Manager role, as the region develops and grows.
