Job Overview

We are seeking to employ a Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant with attention to detail to join our dedicated team for 16–20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our accounting functions. This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to work within a small team, contributing to the smooth financial operations of our organisation.

Salary in the region of £15,000 - £21,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required for management review
Support year-end closing procedures and liaise with colleagues when necessary
Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role is desirable but not essential
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential

Operating from a scenic location overlooking the beautiful Woodford Valley, our close-knit team of accountants and bookkeepers prides itself on providing a personal, reliable service to our clients. We are now looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper to join our office-based team, and we are keen to find someone who will fit well into our friendly and picturesque working environment.

Pay: £15,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
