Overview
Infinity Financial Solutions Limited are excited to seek an Accountant to join our fast-growing, dynamic team. The Accountant position is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate would be within a commutable distance to Salisbury (we are currently looking to relocate from Fordingbridge)
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of SME businesses and their owners
- Prepare financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
- Arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
- Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance of accounts
- Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice
- Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable
- Manage budgets
- Ensure cashflow is utilised properly and protect reserves
- Check financial information for inconsistencies
- Provide tax planning strategies in accordance with existing legislation
- Create financial forecasts and analyse risk
- Understand and adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation
- Production and analysis of VAT returns
- Answering client queries and questions over email, phone and in person
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll and CIS
- Working to deadlines
- Any other duties as required in order to assist the company achieve its objectives
- Oversight and support for team members of apprentice, bookkeepers and accounts assistants
- Preparation of tax returns
- Company Secretarial services
Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
