Full job description

Office Manager / Administrator

Location: [Blackburn]
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: National Minimum Wage (in line with UK legislation)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us

We are a well-established Blackburn based furniture retailer committed to providing quality products and excellent customer service.

We are looking for a highly organised and reliable Office Supervisor / Administrator to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy office.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on position that requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business operations, customer service, and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

General office administration and record keeping
Daily banking and cash reconciliation
Planning and routing furniture deliveries
Processing and managing purchase orders
Processing and managing sales orders
Handling incoming telephone calls and customer enquiries
Managing customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
HR administration, including maintaining employee records and supporting recruitment processes
Processing customer payments and payment administration
Till roll reconciliation and related reporting
Supporting the wider management team with administrative duties as required

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in an office administration or supervisor role
Sage experience is essential to the role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
