WE’RE HIRING - Dog Daycare Assistant / Assistant Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, caring and reliable individual to join our friendly, close-knit team. We’re passionate about providing every dog with a safe, enriching and fun-filled day, and we’re searching for someone who shares that same commitment.
Working in daycare is incredibly rewarding, but it’s much more than cuddling dogs all day. You’ll need to be proactive, hardworking and happy to get stuck into every aspect of the role, whatever the weather. Your Responsibilities:
As a daycare assistant you’ll play a key role in the daily running of our daycare by:
* Providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs throughout the day.
* You'll ensure the highest standards of welfare, and will monitor and report on animal behaviour, wellbeing and health.
* Monitoring dog behaviour, body language and group dynamics to ensure a safe environment.
* Organising and leading enrichment activities and supervising play sessions.
* Preparing and administering feeds where required.
* Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the premises.
* Completing daily records and general administration.
* Managing bookings, payments and customer enquiries.
* Answering telephone calls and responding to online enquiries.
* Creating engaging social media content.
* Assisting with new dog assessments and introductions.
Essential Requirements:
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in working with and handling dogs.
* Confident around dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments.
* Qualified in canine care (or an equivalent relevant qualification).
* Friendly, professional and able to deliver excellent customer service.
* Comfortable using computers and carrying out administrative tasks, including handling payments and accurate record keeping
* Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Flexible with working hours and able to provide cover and overtime when required.
* Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Able to work both independently and as part of our small team.
Desirable: (but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence.
* Canine First Aid qualification.
* Experience creating engaging social media content.
* Previous supervisory or management experience.
* Willingness to provide overnight pet sitting in clients’ homes (if required)
Hours & Pay
We’re currently considering both full-time and part-time applications. Hours and salary will be discussed with the successful candidate. Generally working hours will be weekdays, between 7.30am - 7pm with the occasional opportunity for weekend work.
