Groundworker / Labourer
Driveways by Hinchliffe is an engineering-led surfacing contractor specialising in premium residential driveways across Cheshire.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Groundworker / Labourer to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to work on high-quality driveway projects alongside experienced installers, with full training provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with excavation and ground preparation.
- Installing sub-bases to specification.
- Preparing sites for resin bound, tarmacadam and block paving installations.
- Loading and unloading materials, plant and equipment.
- Keeping sites clean, organised and safe.
- Assisting with drainage, edging and finishing works.
- Operating small plant and hand tools (training provided where required).
- Representing the company professionally on customers’ properties.
What we’re looking for
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- CSCS card preferred but not essential.
- Previous groundwork or construction experience is beneficial but not required.
