Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fisherman/Deckhand to join our maritime team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with fishing operations, maintaining vessel safety, and supporting deck activities. Duties
- Assist with setting and retrieving fishing gear, ensuring proper handling and maintenance
- Support navigation and manoeuvring of the vessel under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deck area to ensure safety standards are met
- Help with loading and unloading catches, ensuring proper storage onboard
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and safety gear
- Assist with general vessel maintenance tasks, including cleaning and minor repairs
- Follow all safety protocols and maritime regulations during operations
- Support crew members in daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow onboard
Experience
- Prior experience in fishing or maritime environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Basic understanding of boat operations and safety procedures is preferred
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and handle heavy equipment or gear safely
- Good teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
- Valid maritime or fishing industry certifications are a plus but not mandatory

Pay: £24,420.00-£39,660.14 per year
